Semiotic Boundary Spaces: An Exercise in Decolonial Aesthesis

Abstract The main purpose of this essay is the analysis discourses expressed between Jaider Esbell’s Brazilian artistic sculptures and monuments urban space. Based on J. Lotman’s notion semiotic boundary space culture, focuses controversial discursive relationships, such as intelligibility unintelligibility; translation untranslatability, so on, observed from historical tensioning cultural languages. This analytical path leads us to intercultural relationships in which languages spaces manifest Aesthesis condition that has given theoretical foundations for Decolonial studies arising a new episteme understanding relationships. Thus, concept allows analyse various historical-political contexts contemporary debate.
